New tufting machine secures international contracts
Quality and innovation has been the key to Cavalier Bremworth
winning a huge project for the five-star Furama Hotel in Dalian,
China.

The hotel is doing a major refurbishment and has ordered a
custom cut and loop carpet from a tufting machine that Cavalier
Bremworth commissioned last September. The carpet is in a pattern
similar to the new Onde residential range. The hotel designer
sought responses from carpet companies throughout Australia, New
Zealand and the US and was very insistent on using a high quality
wool carpet.
The carpet is being used in guest rooms throughout the hotel and
Cavalier Bremworth is supplying 9000 sq metres. Feedback from the
client was that Cavalier Bremworth was the most responsive to the
design brief (which specified a cut and loop product only possible
on the new machine) and the company's quality assurance processes
gave them confidence to buy.
The carpet is due to be installed by the end of May 2009.
Other international projects completed recently include the new
Merlynn Park Hotel in Jakarta which took 14,800 sq metres for its
200 bedrooms and the much vaunted 6 star W Hotel in Hong Kong which
used 5500 square metres of a custom colour cut pile for its
bedrooms.
