An extensive renovation to this Melbourne
house has resulted in a beautiful home with a sense of
serenity. The contemporary approach and application of design
combines a neutral palette, open light filled spaces and natural
materials to create a harmonious living space. This has been
complemented by fine detailing and functional aesthetics.

Designer Shareen Joel says the materials were carefully selected
in order to unify with the contemporary design intent. Travertine
floors mix with the 100% wool Mistique carpet, both selected for
their high quality and durability as well as its natural
qualities.
Carpet has been used throughout the upstairs rooms, the
staircase and downstairs lounge room. "With the subtle
shading effects that are prominent in the
Mistique range, it provided the natural appearance that
complemented the light filled rooms throughout the home," says
Shareen.
